| 40 Hours must be logged in simulated or actual instrument conditions. Of that 40 hours 20 hours can be on a simulator with a authorized flight instructor and 15 hours must be instrument instruction in a aircraft with a flight instructor. The table below is a breakdown of the program hours |

Training in Cessna 172 |
You will fly in simulated or actual IFR conditions. One cross-county will take 5 hours and the remaining15 hours will be used to work on basic instrument skills, instrument approches and holding patterns. |
| Simulator | You will train on an ATC-710 simulator for the first 20 hours of the program. In this time we will improve your instrument scan and teach all procedures necessary for your IFR ticket. |
| Not included in program cost | The written test is not included. The FAA check ride cost is $400.00 and is given on site. |
| Prerequisite | Due to Federal TSA requirments we must see and copy your passport or birth certificate and drivers license. The passport must be in date and the birth certificate must be the original or a certified copy. We train international students with proof of a valid passport and visa with F1 stamp. You will need to go through TSA for a background check. This normally takes a few days and training can not start until we recieve permision from TSA. 45 hours of PIC cross-country time should be logged. We design special programs if additional cross-country time is needed, but this must be arranged prior to start of training. Written test must be in hand for the eight day program. |
